Because Google owns the best search engine on the Internet, users from every corner of the world try to make partnerships with the company, aiming to improve their popularity and earn more money. Comcast is just an example, representing a Google partner that is now unhappy with the services provided by the search giant. As LiveSide reports, Google's products disappointed Comcast and it is now looking for another company able to provide the same features but with lower prices and improved performance.

"Comcast Corp. is negotiating to use Microsoft Corp.'s Internet search services on its broadband portal, a sign the cable titan isn't happy about its current search deal with Google Inc., according to people familiar with the matter. Comcast, the country's largest cable operator, also has been talking to Google about extending their relationship. Currently, Google provides search results when users of the Comcast.net portal enter queries into the search box on the site. But Comcast thinks it should get a larger share of the revenue generated by the arrangement," the publication reported.

At this time, Comcast owns a large Internet portal providing news and information in numerous categories, its weblinks being displayed on Google for certain search queries entered by the users.

Although the separation isn't yet official, Google adopts an interesting position over the companies that are looking to become their partners. Today, the search giant representatives confirmed the acquisition of two firms able to bring new functions for the Google technologies. Adscape is one of the recently acquired names, allowing the search giant to expand their advertising platform to popular games scheduled for the future. This is another sign that Google aims to make its online advertising platform more popular in the offline area, after the company already confirmed newspaper and radio adverts.
