Internet giant Google is reportedly planning the launch of a Snapseed application for Android devices in the near future.

The software is said to arrive on the company’s mobile operating system following the purchase of Nik Software, creators of the iOS app Snapseed.

While no specific info on the matter has been provided as of yet, rumor has it that the app might arrive on devices with Google+ integration.

Google hasn’t commented on its plans for the app, yet a photo posted by Vic Gundotra, Senior VP of Engineering at Google on Google+ appears to hint at the upcoming software release.

If such an application is indeed in the works, we might see it landing with the option to upload photos directly to Google’s social networking.
