It's been quite a long time since Google Maps application received a major update. The good news is that Android users are now eligible for a newer version of Maps for their devices, but the bad news is that it doesn't bring too many important changes.

According to AndroidPolice, Google Maps 7.4 adds a handful of new icons and changes some of the gestures that were already integrated within the application.

Furthermore, the Explore menu of Maps suffered a few visual modifications, such as the addition of a More button and a background image for Explore. Last but not least, the icons for Offer have been visually enhanced with a more catchy look.

You can now download Google Maps 7.4 for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0.3 and up.
