Google branded cars spotted in Australia

Are you ready to be immortalized and be seen by the entire world? How about those sneakers you're wearing at the moment, do they look memorable enough? Are you a trendsetter that needs that little boost to get things going?

here! Well not exactly here per se, but it'll be coming in a town near you (or perhaps if you're lucky in your town) and be taking pictures so

be sure to practice your Colgate smile. If you happen to know The Car is around you can just go and casually hug any of the monuments in your town, you'll eventually turn up in one of the pictures the blue car with the big camera on top is taking (you can't miss it, not many cars have something that looks like a steel rod shooting straight up from its roof).

The latest place the camera cars were spotted is the Australian capital so if you're visiting it here's your chance at stardom or at some free advertising. You might as well, after all there's no one going to stop you, you're not doing anything illegal and hey, many people just happen to walk around with a humongous cardboard poster saying "World's Greatest Lover" and a phone number written under it.

Aussies will be happy to find out that the Google branded cars are going to be there for a while, as Google spokesman Rob Silkin said: "The cars are currently in our capital cities and we hope to provide more information about further locations we will be driving in Australia." The only problem you might encounter is the fact that people started voicing their concerns about safeguarding Australian privacy and Google just has to do something about it. You could "convince" the reluctant ones otherwise and shine, still. "We're focusing on finding ways to ensure that individuals' faces are not identifiable in pictures taken in Australia and that license plate numbers are not identifiable in Australia", Silkin added.
