Google was quite reticent in the recent period when it came to financial services although it's well known the fact that the search giant wants to offer a large variety of solutions. However, Google Finance was apparently abandoned by its father Google since the latest improvement was announced. If you remember, Google implemented financial information into the news headlines straight on the main page of the service. Meanwhile, the big G worked a lot and is now giving the first sign of revamp because it officially releases the Google Finance Blog. Using the new page, the company plans to keep the consumers up-to-date with the latest details concerning the financial industry related to Google.

"We're excited to welcome you to the official Google Finance blog. This is how we want to communicate with the community of people who need financial information at their fingertips," Eric Schrock, Engineering Tech Lead, and Katie Jacobs Stanton, Group Product Manager, said today. "We'll write about new features, share observations about new tools in the financial industry and get your feedback about new releases. You'll hear from all kinds of folks involved in developing Google Finance: full-time engineers, 20% engineers, interface designers, interns, product managers and anyone else we can convince to post in case we become too dull," they explained the goal of the blog.

Lately, Google was quite active on the blog market as it released a lot of new pages to communicate with the customers and keep them up-to-date with the latest news from the Googleplex. After the Security Blog was rolled out a few weeks ago, the Mountain View company also debuted the Privacy Blog in a move meant to respond to the recent complaints concerning the search giant. The goal of this blog is obviously represented by the Google attempts to underline their internal efforts to improve the privacy of its products and prove the European Commission that the search giant can be also a good firm.
