We reported last week Google will launch the new LG Nexus 5 in India soon, but aside from the official suggested retail price no additional information was available at that time.

Today, The Times of India reports Google plans to officially introduce the Nexus 5 in India on November 12. The same goes for the second-generation Nexus 7 tablet, which has yet to be released on the Indian market.

Although Google lists both Wi-Fi and 4G versions of Nexus 7 on its website, along with pricing options, retails stores are said to stock only the Wi-Fi variant of the tablet.

Customers in India will be able to purchase the Nexus 7 (2013) beginning November 12 for Rs 25,999 ($425 / €305) for the 32GB Wi-Fi and 4G variant.

LG Nexus 5 has also been confirmed to arrive in India this month for no less than Rs 28,999 ($470 / €345) outright for the 16GB model and Rs 32,999 ($535 / €390) for the 32GB variant.

However, sources close to the matter claim that while Nexus 5 will be officially introduced in India on November 12, actual availability for the smartphone is slated for late November.

Both 16GB and 32GB Nexus 5 will be available for purchase online via Google Play Store, but some major retailers across the country might receive stock and sell it for a higher price.

The Nexus 5 is selling in the United States for only $350 (€255) for the 16GB model and $400 (€290) for the 32GB variant, but for the time being both versions are sold out on Google Play store.

Major carrier Sprint has just opened pre-orders for Nexus 5 but it selling the smartphone for $400 (€290) for the 16GB and $450 (€325) for the 32GB, which is still a good price for Android fans.

Keep in mind that the release date of Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) in India are based on rumors coming from various sources, so stay tuned for more confirmations on the matter.
