Google has been focusing more on enterprise customers lately, for example dropping the beta tag from some of its services, but also on some new products or features like the recently launched Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook. Now the search giant has unveiled a new site called Google Apps Deployment for Enterprise with resources for businesses making the change to Google Apps.

The new site is aimed at helping big enterprises adopt the tools provided by Google Apps. This should be useful for companies that are weary of making the change due to the unique challenges their large size poses. The new site is split up in two main categories, Deployment Planning and User Adoption, which can also be seen as stages. The former offers, as the name implies, guides for preparing the move as well as documentation for the administration of Google Apps and it is aimed at IT administrators or project planners.

The latter is the next stage after planning. This section is aimed at making it easier for employees to get accustomed to the new applications. It provides full documentation for the apps as well as FAQs and multimedia content. The resources can also be easily customized depending on the old platform being used, Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes.

“But this is just the beginning. We'll continue to add new resources to the site and enhance the material that's already there. We developed many of the site's resources by working closely with some of our Enterprise customers, and we want to continue in that spirit of cooperation. We'd especially like to hear about your best practices and new approaches to making a Google Apps deployment faster and easier,” Matt Ceglia, technical writer for Google Enterprise, wrote.
