14 DAY TRIAL // It's only been a few days since Samsung launched its Avengers-themed cases and accessories, and now Google announces its own customized cases for Android smartphones.
The new limited-edition cases are the result of the collaboration between Google and Skrillex. They can now be purchased via Google Store, but they aren't compatible with too many devices.
It looks like Skrillex created three unique designs inspired by his long-time fascination with space. The Skrillex Live Case is more than just a simple case meant to protect your smartphone.
According to Google, they also bring buyers VIP access to Skrillex content, as well as a companion live wallpaper that extends its design onto the phone's screen.
The live wallpaper that buyers of the Skrilles Live Case receive, seems to update during the day with images of Earth shot from the stratosphere.
But things get even more interesting, as Google confirmed they launched a custom-designed balloon satellite named after Skrillex's dog, Nanou, just to capture these images from the stratosphere.
As soon as the satellite ends its mission, it will be given for free along with Skrillex's autograph to a lucky fan in an upcoming giveaway.

So, the limited-edition Skrillex Live Case is exclusively available on the Google Store. They are individually numbered and compatible with the following smartphones: Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Buyers who get the case will also get early access to a free OWSLA album from Google Play and Skrillex updates sent directly on their Android smartphones.
In addition, a shortcut button built-in on the Live Case will provide users with quick access to Skrillex's music feed on YouTube. If you want, you can even customize this button to open your favorite apps.
Google also states that the limited-edition Skrillex Live Case will only be available from today through the end of June while supplies last.
