Now it's calendar time

The story with Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Lego goes way back into their Stanford days, when they had a thing for the plastic bricks. They've put together, over the years a programmable plotter (Page) and even hard drive enclosure for drives of 4 and 10 GB, encased in 'faux Duplos'.

Larry once said that "Legos and other lesser construction toys have been quite important to me. I have constructed numerous amazing contraptions out of Legos. I built a four foot wide inkjet printer out of Legos (and a few things from the hardware store and a bunch of electronics). I attriubute a great deal of my understanding and ability with mechanical devices to Legos and similar construction toys."

Following the recent event of 50 years from the invention of the modern Lego bricks, celebrated with a doodle presenting the logo as if made out of the same plastic bricks, Google China now started sending Lego Calendars, as pictured on the left (image CC-licensed to keso). The blogger received it only a short while ago, but already a serious problem arises: what will he do next month, will he rearrange the bricks? What about the heart that stands for the 14th of February (namely today)? Ok, more like questions and not problems, but still.

From what Keso writes in the comments on his Flickr account where he first displayed this picture, the ensemble is minuscule, making the disassembly rather difficult if he doesn't want to just get stuck with a bunch of teeny-weeny plastic pieces in his hand and no will to strain his eyes to put them together again. I think all of the king's horses and all of the king's men would come in handy at this point, perhaps one of them could find it in him to do the tedious task.
