Android users will be pleased to know that Google has just updated its virtual Keyboard application with new features and improvements meant to offer a more streamlined typing while on the go.

The most obvious change is the addition of Personalized Suggestions, which allows Google Keyboard to use data from Google app and services to improve suggestions and corrections. All the data received is stored on the device for further use.

Users can erase all the data stored by turning the new feature off. To disable it, simply head over to Keyboard settings and uncheck Personalized Suggestions.

According to AndroidPolice, some debug menu tweaks have been added as well, such as several options for key popup behavior and the addition of a key popup dismiss delay.

Google has also confirmed that some bug fixes and stability improvements have been included in the update, but no additional details have been disclosed.

The new update is rolled out in stages, so it might not be available right away to all Google Keyboard users.

However, those who wish to download Google Keyboard for Android 3.0 can do so via Google Play Store. The application has been confirmed to work on all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
