As you know, Google is the best search engine on the Internet with millions of users every day looking to obtain information using the technology provided by the company. Although the search giant tried to expand its powerful features into all of the products designed by its employees, it seems like YouTube's functionality is working really bad as the company tries to attract more and more partners to enhance the content provided by the video service. Search Insider editor Mark Simon explained why Google should improve YouTube's video search features:

"YouTube's site search is the video-search tool of choice for the video downloading set. And as is the case with any search tool, higher-ranking YouTube results are more likely to get viewed, while lower-ranking ones get ignored. By placing Partners on top of YouTube search rankings, YouTube would effectively hand viewership over to its partners, while forcing pirates - who compete for that same viewership - down into obscurity," the blogger said.

Let's analyze this post message a bit. If you read the paragraph above, you should understand that a better search technology to be based on the idea that partners are ranked higher is able to increase two of the main aspects regarding YouTube: first, it is one of the best ways to attract users to the content offered by its partners. Then, the company can stop pirated videos that are searchable using the same keywords because they are displayed at the end of the result page where only some users are looking.

As you know, YouTube is often criticized because it publishes videos without approval so the improvement added to the search function is not quite the best solution to resolve all the issues regarding the video service. But, if the company manages to solve two of the most important problems for the video solution, the third one can be easily fixed with another simple solution. So, Google should improve its abilities first and most of the problems will disappear...
