Everybody agrees that Google and Yahoo are the biggest rivals when we talk about search engines, advertising platforms and other online utilities. Both companies are looking to improve their solutions and the most important, to expand their services and develop them in the entire world.
Recently, Google and Yahoo challenged one another in the Asian market that seems to be one of the most attracting territories for the technology companies. Both companies made new partnerships and acquired companies that can help them improve the solutions they develop.
So,
it's obvious that the two companies are fighting for the leader position but, the latest statistics are presenting Google as a winner. Dave Naffziger made an interesting list with more than one hundred countries that own a Google domain and without a Yahoo homepage. It seems the search giant is present in 134 countries were Yahoo isn't yet available, so it's obvious that the company's popularity in that region is very high.
"I've pulled together a list of countries that Google has entered where Yahoo hasn't. I chose those countries where Google resolves a country-specific domain in that country's native language and Yahoo doesn't. I also chose to limit my analysis to the countries recognized by ISO 3166. Yes, it is far easier for Google to launch their home page in another country than for Yahoo to launch their homepage. However, making search available and customized for each country begins the long process of brand establishment. I noticed it in Peru and again in the Czech Republic - they know and love Google. They don't know Yahoo," he said.
