This is what Google Suggest states

Many of you heard the expression saying 'Google is your friend'. But how about this one: Google is God? At least, this is what Google Suggest thinks. In case you've never heard of it, Google Suggest is a technology designed by the Mountain View company which provides you several search options as you type the query. The product is still in Labs, the testing platform which tests all the services before they are released as final products. Typing 'Google is' in the search box returns pretty interesting suggestions: Google is evil, Google is hard for retards, Google is your friend, Google is sh*t, Google is down, Google is bad and... Google is God!

Obviously, Google has nothing to do with these suggestions because they are provided by an algorithm which analyzes the search queries entered by other users and their frequency. Google Suggest states that no less than 102,000,000 results include the 'Google is God' phrase while 400,000,000 pages refer to 'Google is down'.

"Our algorithms use a wide range of information to predict the queries users are most likely to want to see. For example, Google Suggest uses data about the overall popularity of various searches to help rank the refinements it offers. An example of this type of popularity information can be found in the Google Zeitgeist. Google Suggest does not base its suggestions on your personal search history," the Mountain View company explains the way Google Suggest works.

At this time, the suggestions are also included in the Firefox search box which enables the browser users to search the web straight from the application. As expected, the Firefox search utility shows the same suggestions mentioned above.

If you want to test the Google Suggest search technology, click on this link but keep in mind the product is still in Labs so it might be pretty useless for some queries.
