Here's one thing that Google hadn't dabbled with, until now, weddings. In case the big day has you overwhelmed, Google is here to help, proposing several of its products as the perfect tools to help you plan and announce your wedding.

There's no new product, Google is simply showcasing how Picasa, Docs and some of its other products could be used for the happy occasion.

"For many, your wedding day is one of the biggest, most momentous days of your life," Lisa Conquergood, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Google, writes.

"To help you plan this important day we’ve created wedding-specific templates in Google Sites, Google Docs and Picnik, and gathered tips and tricks for using these and other Google products at google.com/weddings," she announced.

"From wedding websites to save-the-date cards, these tools simplify wedding planning, letting you focus your time on the fun things—like tasting cakes!," she explained.

Google just so happens to have some perfect tools for some of the more tedious or time consuming tasks. Google Sites is a simple way of creating a website for the wedding, a great place for guests to get more details about the location for example.

And if you want that website to have a personal touch, or just impress your friends with your artistic talent, Picnik, a simple web-based photo editing tool, enables you to customize your photos, create invitations or anything else you may need.

Google Docs comes in handy when organizing the wedding, the collaboration features are really useful in creating the guest list for example. Documents and spreadsheets may not be too glamorous, but they're a part of every wedding. Finally, Picasa helps you share the wedding photos with everyone in one step.

Google is also holding a sweepstakes for couples getting married in the next year. All you have to do is fill in a form and you have a chance to win $25,000 for the wedding of your dreams.
