The search giant Google is now trying a different move that can help the company beat Microsoft in some of the most important domains. It seems like the Mountain View company is interested in Salesforce, a firm that is currently offering one of the most efficient Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite in the market. According to Google Watch, the search giant might want to introduce some of its applications such as Gmail, Google Talk or Docs & Spreadsheets into the CRM suite offered by Salesforce.

"We don't think there is any merit to takeover conjecture. However, our read it that a partnership agreement is in the works and could be announced sometime in the next month. From a Salesforce.com perspective we think a closer link with Google is positive as it would minimize potential competition, fortify efforts against Microsoft, and enhance the offering through better integration with Google online services," Justin Maynard, an analyst at Credit Suisse, said according to the same publication.

These days, Google was involved in a lot of speculations concerning the acquisition or the partnership with new companies able to enhance the products owned by the search giant. For example, it was first mentioned that Google might be interested in opening its own UK mobile network using an agreement with O2. The move can bring Google a considerable amount of customers, profit and traffic as all the services will be based on a special site powered by the company.

Earlier this day, it was rumored that Google wants to buy FeedBurner to help the company improve its advertising platform. Using this company, Google might insert adverts into the RSS feeds sent to millions of users and attract even these customers that avoid visiting the original source of the headlines that are often displaying AdSense adverts.
