Tickets will cost twice as much as last year, but that probably won't put off anyone

Google I/O 2012 may be a few months away, but the tickets go on sale in less than a week. And, judging by previous years, they'll go out of sale in less than a week as well so, if you're planning on attending, be ready to grab your ticket the moment it becomes available.

What's more, be sure to have a Google+ profile and a Google Wallet account if you plan on buying a Google I/O ticket.

Tickets go on sale on March 27 at 7 AM pDT, that's 14:00 UTC and you'll have to stake out the site during that time if you want to get your hands on tickets.

"We can’t wait to see who will be joining us at Google I/O. Registration is first come, first served," Google explained.

"Last year, tickets sold out in less than an hour, so to be prepared, we suggest you sign in to your Google+ account and be ready to pay with Google Wallet (formerly Google Checkout)," it added.

Ticket prices doubled this year, but there may be a few more of them. Even so, they will probably sell out and maybe even as fast as last year. The event will also last three days as opposed to two days as until now.

We should find out soon enough though. As for what Google has in store for this year's developer conference, it's probably too early to tell. Most likely, not even Google has made up its mind, but you can bet Chrome and Android will be the two main focuses.

A third one though may be on the Google built devices that the company may start making, from HUD glasses to home entertainment hubs. Those are probably better left to a separate event though and not a developer conference.
