Google's developer conference is about to start

It’s almost time yet again for Google to take center stage at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, where its I/O 2015 developer conference is set to begin in a short while

We’re expecting the tech giant to talk about a lot of new and exciting things. We’ll probably see two Nexus smartphones arrive this year and Android M too. Google might also have a few new Android Wear wearables to show and will most likely launch its own Photo app too.

After a long animation with big references to Google Maps, Senior Vice President Sundar Pichai is finally up on stage greeting everyone.

He dips right in talking about Android and how widespread the operating system has become. Pichai also reminds us of Android's motto "Be together, not the same."

Google has just announced HBO Now, which is available in the Google Play Store, so you can watch your favorite episodes of "Game of Thrones" or the upcoming "True Detective" series.

One of the key improvements in Android M is app permission. Here's an example with Whatsapp. Permissions can be gradually adjusted in time.

Up next, web experience. How to make content accessing seamless. Chrome custom tabs are introduced, There's an on-screen back button for the browser.

Next, we're told about linking apps to other apps.

Developers can verify support to app links, removing the need for a dialog request from Android.

Next stop, Google introduces Android Pay. AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile are carrier partners for Android Pay

Android M supports fingerprint, including Android Pay and device unlock. Paying for stuff is now made easier.

Next, there's a new, smarter power management system called "doze."

Android M also brings easy sharing and "fixed" volume controls.

Android Wear is now up. We love smartwatches!

Google is calling Android Wear glanceable, actionable and effortless.

Here come always-on apps that allow you to view the shopping list on your wrist without the display of the watch going dark.

Google announces Brillo with full OS support, which will be able to run on low-power devices. It is scalabe and derived from Android.

Weave is the communication layer that will be implemented in order to make it easier for devices to talk to each other. Weave can be used with Brillo.

But at its core, Google is still about search. Sundar talks about heavy development of machine learning.

Google Now is coming up now. Director of Google Now says that the service is about Context, Answer and Actions.

The Context engine has over 100m pieces to understand what we want, and when we want it. After Context, the Answers have over a billion entities to choose from.

Google is working with 100 developers to bring better context with action.

Google introduces a brand new product, Google Photos, a home, a place to organize photos.

A simpler way to keep your photography organized. A pinch to time-line adjustment feature with Google Photos. None of the photos was actually on the device. Pretty cool.

None of the photos has been tagged, but Google Photos will categorize.

Google Photos will also categorize the same person over time, so you can easily go back in time.

The service lets you create movies, add music beds and create montages.

You can select all your photos by tapping, holding and dragging your finger down the whole screen.

Sharing has no strings attached.

Google Photos will back up and store unlimited high quality-photos for free. Yes, you heard that right, for free!

Google Photos will be rolling out for Android and iOS later today.
