Pets are like children, they can be quite fun but they can be quite a drag too. Especially if you're planning a vacation, pets and children complicate your life. Unlike pets though, most hotels do accept children. Unlike children, you may actually want to take your pets with you on vacation.

Luckily, Google is thinking of you and makes it easier to find hotels that welcome pets via the aptly named Google Hotel Finder tool, introduced a while back.

"After entering your destination on Hotel Finder, click Amenities and select 'Pets allowed' from the dropdown menu. Your search results will automatically be updated to show only pet friendly hotels," Google explains.

So if you're planning a very, very late summer vacation, you've now got one less thing to worry about. Oh, the amenities feature is useful for any other perk you'd like, like "beach access," "pool," "internet," or even "children welcomed," if you must.
