14 DAY TRIAL // The new Google+ Hangouts might not come with SMS integration for now, but the Internet giant is planning on that in the near future.
As the new Hangouts experience replaced Google Talk and Google+ Messenger, many users were taken aback by the fact that the app didn’t have any SMS integration.
Well, Dori Storbeck, Google+ Hangouts and Chat community manager, said that this was the most requested feature so far and that they would be integrating it soon, Phandroid reports.
She later edited the message saying that they had nothing official to announce at the time, but the idea was still out there.
Official or not, Google will most likely integrate SMS into the app soon, especially since everyone is demanding it and they’re unlikely to drag their feet on the update.
