Google is following Apple's prudish approach on this matter

Google Glass, for all the attention it's getting, is only available to a few thousands of people, developers or celebrities who were able to convince Google they deserved it.

Still, Google is using this small user base to improve the device and the software.

In the latest update, Google is focusing on photos. Fitting, as this is one of the biggest draws of the device, at least at this stage.

Being able to take hands-free photos at any time is a great feature and it has now gotten better.

"Today we’re releasing new software for the camera on Glass. It captures a rapid sequence of shots behind the scenes every time you press the camera button which, when combined, gives you a better picture than what you would get with a single shot," Google explained.

This feature should make it a lot easier to get a great – or at least a decent – shot with Glass, in any conditions.

But that's not all that's new. Glass now works a lot better in low light conditions and even creates automatic HDR photos from bright scenes, if that's your thing.

Also new is the ability to add a caption to photos you share, using voice, of course. While the photo experience is at the center of the latest Glass update, there are other improvements and fixes as well. Glass users will be getting the update soon, as it rolls out gradually.

Meanwhile, Google is tightening up its developer terms of service for Glass. Just last week, it had to clarify that it won't allow facial recognition apps. Google had said previously that it won't be building the feature into Glass anytime soon.

Only a few days later, it had to clarify that it won't allow adult content apps either, this after the first such app was already made available to users.
