14 DAY TRIAL // Google+ invites haven't exactly been hard to come by, but there has been a scarcity about them, especially in the early days, when Google limited access to Google+, disabling invites of any kind altogether.
But now that Google+ is growing steadily and Google hasn't encountered any great growing pains, it's opening the door a bit wider, though it's still not letting everyone in yet.
Google has announced that you will now be able to invite your friends to join Google+ by simply sharing a link with them, you no longer need to know their email addresses to do so.
"Hey Everyone, We’ve heard that you want to invite your friends, but sometimes you don't know their email addresses... or sometimes its not easy to find it," Google's Balaji Srinivasan writes.
"To address this, we’ll be rolling out a new feature over the next few days that lets you invite others simply by using a link," he announced.
"When you click the 'invite friends' button on the right-hand side of the page, you’ll find a new link that you can IM to friends or post on the web," he explained.
The new feature is going live soon for everyone, it may already be live for some people. Once it's there, you will be able to send a simple link to your friends, via any means you have at your disposal, who will be able to then join Google+.
"Since we're still in field trial, we're limiting sign-ups from these links to 150 per person for now," Srinivasan wrote.
Google is putting up a limit to this type of invites though, you'll only be able to get 150 of your friends inside this way. Still, it's a lot more than most people need to. And if this is not enough, you will probably still be able to get people in by sharing something with their email addresses.
