Back when Steve Jobs outed Flash from iOS, every Android User thought he was crazy. Now it seems Google is following in Apple's footsteps.

Google's latest update for their mobile Search Engine is directed towards Adobe Flash. They now make sure to let the mobile users know when a website contains Flash content so the iOS and Android people do not try to load that webpage. Not only that, but they call Adobe's product "a common annoyance for web users."

Google knows that the mobile user will only see a blank page or a just a big part of the content that is not accessible so they will indicate that on their search results. "Starting today, we will indicate to searchers when our algorithms detect pages that may not work on their devices. For example, Adobe Flash is not supported on iOS devices or on Android versions 4.1 and higher, and a page whose contents are mostly Flash may be noted with an inscription that says: Uses Flash. May not work on your device."

The user has the liberty to try it anyway or learn more about Flash missing on his device.

Google advises developers to create multi-device websites and they point to HTML5 documentation like Web Fundamentals and a Web Starter Kit

Google also encourages developers to build following the standards for responsive web design and search-friendly sites.

From the users’ perspective, this is a great way to make sure you avoid the Flash websites and only click on the links that will show you what you need.

The MountainView team released an update for their mobile browser for iOS. Chrome for iPhone and iPad now allows mobile websites to stream their content to the TV, if you have a Chromecast device. This is similar to AirPlay, if you have an Apple TV connected to your TV set.

The New version of Chrome for iOS (36.0.1985.49) has a new icon. It is a flatter one, with just a plain white background. The old one used to have a greyish line at the bottom and a darker background.
