The search giant introduces Google Base Gadgets

Some time ago, Google introduced numerous tiny utilities that are able to improve the functionality of a certain service provided by the company. Since the release of the utilities, the company tried to improve it several times by adding interoperability with other Google services. Today, the Google Gadgets are compatible with Personalized Homepage, Google Desktop and other technologies built by the company's employees.

In fact, what are these Google Gadgets? A Google Gadget represents a tiny utility built by the company and by its users, allowing a certain Google product to provide even more functions than the original solution. Usually, the Google Gadgets add only one simple function such as search, chat or other type of information. Take for example Google Desktop, the company's product able to search the computer fast and easy, which can be customized with gadgets to allow you to communicate on Google Talk, view the world clock or even decorate your desktop with funny stuff.

It's obvious the company keeps trying to promote Google Gadgets and add interoperability with most of the company's services. Today, Google gives another try sustaining these little utilities are now compatible with Google Base helping you to find information quick and easy.

"Google Base Gadgets are a simple and configurable interface for searching Google Base data from your Google Personalized Homepage or, using a Syndicated Google Base Gadget, most any web page or blog. You can configure your own gadget to search all data of a particular item type in Base (for example, vehicles, recipes, or jobs), or you can customize it to search just your own data, like I did for my recipes gadget," Clay Bavor, Product Manager, sustained on the official blog of the company.
