A new version of Google Finance for mobile has been announced as available into the wild, with a great deal of optimizations so as to make it easily accessible via mobile phones such as handsets based on Google's Android OS, or on Apple's iPhone handsets.

According to the development team, the solution is meant to offer users fast access to what's of interest for them, even at times when they are not in front of a computer.

The release of the new solution is expected to offer fast access to finance data, charts, and reports that many users have been asking for quite some time now.

According to the Google Finance team, one of their main focuses was on offering access to all these resources “in the blink of an eye.” However, “all the data in the world won’t help if you can’t access it when you need it most,” the team notes.

“Since many of us are on the run throughout the day and don’t always have our computers in front of us, it came as no surprise that one of users’ most frequently requested features was a fast, easy-to-use mobile website for Google Finance,” a recent post on Google Mobile Blog reads.

“The markets don’t stop when you leave your desk, so we’re bringing the markets to you,” the development team announced.

The new solution is meant to offer a unified experience on mobile devices and desktop computers, offering users the possibility to enjoy about the same features regardless their location or the device they are using.

The new site is easily accessible when searching on Google for stock tickers or company names straight from the mobile phone. The 'Finance' tab on the Google mobile homepage should also take users here.

“Now no matter where you are, you can keep up with your portfolio, the latest market news, and the sectors you care about, with real time quotes and data - all at a glance,” the development team notes.

But this is not all. According to the said blog post, users of Android-based devices should find the Google Finance app available for download from the Android Market.
