In the entire world, December 1 is equivalent to the World AIDS Day dedicated to the victims of HIV infection. As the virus is continuously spreading, there were reported about 25 million killed people and 40 million people living with the infection.

Africa is the leader of this shocking top with 5.500 people killed every day by the virus. The World AIDS Day was introduced in 1988 at the World Summit of Ministers of Health on Programmes for AIDS Prevention, being supported by more companies day by day.

This year, Google said that the company is supporting all the organizations that are fighting against the spreading of the virus, mentioning that they are already offering promotional support to (RED), a company founded this year by Bono and Bobby Shriver.

"One effort that is making a difference is (RED), a company founded this year by Bono and Bobby Shriver. A percentage of the profits from each (RED) product sold is given to The Global Fund. We are supporting the (RED) effort by offering promotional support to (RED) and (RED) products on Google properties throughout the holiday season.

We hope you choose to support them with your purchases. Companies offering (RED) products have committed to contribute a portion of profits from the sales of that product into Global Fund-financed AIDS programmes in Africa," Sheryl Sandberg, VP for Google, said on the blog.

So, if you want to join the battle against this destructive virus or you just want some more information about the alliance created by well-known companies, you can visit the official site of (RED).
