If you didn't know, Google is now ranking the websites using a simple algorithm that calculates the number of the pages linking to a certain site. This procedure is also used by attackers aiming to create Googlebombs because they are able to create fake results using numerous links placed on other websites on the Internet. Usually, Google tries to discover the main site and block it, but sometimes, the bombs are identified after a long time since the release time. Some months ago, a Google representative sustained the search giant is continuously working on a technology able to identify and block fake results automatically but more and more bombs were reported on the search engine.

Today, the first signs of an improvement added into Google Search were offered by an official statement of Kaspar, a Google employee at Webmaster Central, who sustained the company is now working on a technology able to increase the efficiency of the ranking system. Using an improved algorithm, the Google Search technology will be able to calculate the rank for all the sites, being based on a validating system able to identify and block malicious attempts.

"Google is willing to take action against domains that try to rank more highly by just showing scraped or other autogenerated pages that don't add any value to users. Companies, webmasters, and domain owners who consider SEO consultation should take care not to spend time on methods which will not have worthwhile long-term results. Choosing the right SEO consultant requires in-depth background research, and their reputation and past work should be important factors in your decision," the Google employees said in a blog post published on the Webmaster Central.
