Google Falling Behind Facebook

I'm at a point when I'm not sure what to believe next. What in the world is Facebook going after? The complete annihilation of Google little by little? Is this Microsoft's revenge for losing big with its online department when Google came to be what it is today?

I mean it's OK to be competitive and strive to put your foot up the other's erm… share of the market, but it looks like the trend is changing. Google is currently losing
important employees to Facebook at an alarming rate. While being the logical place to go "shopping" for some of the world's best engineers and more, the Mountain View giant is still not on sale with Facebook as the only client in the shop.

The shopping cart momentarily numbers YouTube CFO Gideon Yu, eCommerce Product lead Benjamin Ling and GDrive developer Justin Rosenstein (I guess that's a big halt on the GDrive project, by the way). Nick Gonzales of TechCrunch.com reports that "Our sources are also saying that Google has been aggressively countering Facebook offers with offers of stock units (GSUs). The options weren't enough for one Google employee, who says he was getting promoted quickly and hitting huge bonuses with high priced stock". But he says "it's not just about the money. Entrepreneurs want to work at the hottest place on earth and right now that's Facebook."

While "entrepreneurs" isn't the best word to describe accurately the people involved here, the fact is the situation looks quite grim right now for Google. This matter has been dubbed "the Facebook problem" according to a number of sources and its result is that at least ten "top dogs" have switched sides over the last two months and it doesn't really look like this exodus is going to end soon…
