Google entitled Enterprise Search Superstars the companies that included Google Mini and Google Search Appliance on their site to offer customers and employees a faster and better access to Google Search.

"Google customers have implemented our enterprise search solutions in any number of ways, including on employee intranets, customer support sites, partner extranets and for product search on e-commerce sites," Google said.

"Google Search Superstar Award winners receive a physical award (a cool, custom-made robot crafted out of Legos), a site badge they can use in marketing materials to identify their organization as search innovators, public recognition by Google, and a box of coveted Google goodies (you'll have to win to find out what these are)," the company described the award.

Kevin Gough, Enterprise Team at Google, mentioned that "these robots are part of the awards package that we're giving our new Google Enterprise Search Superstars. This awards program recognizes companies, and the individuals involved, with innovative enterprise search implementations and a relentless focus on users that yields business results."

"The Google Mini searches up to 300,000 documents and is primarily used by smaller organizations. The Google Search Appliance integrates with your security systems and can search across numerous content sources, including intranets, document and content management systems, file servers, and business applications," Google added.
