Google promised almost two months ago that it will roll out the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade to all Nexus S devices. Well, it looks like the search giant made another step in this direction and is now close to release the update for general public.

Until then, several Google employees started to reported that they have received the update on their Samsung Nexus S smartphones, most likely for testing purposes.

Although most of these messages that mentioned the update are now deleted from Twitter and Google+, several screenshots with these posts are still available courtesy to the folks over at AndroidPolice.

It's unclear how many Google employees received the Android 4.0 update on their Nexus S devices, but this proves that the company is now testing the update in a confined environment to avoid releasing the buggy Ice Cream Sandwich update.
