Matt Cutts denies the rumors of Google taking Top Ad Position

It seems like Google becomes the target of complaints made by more and more unsatisfied customers or users of any of the services provided by the company.

Today, the search giant posted a message on the official blog of Google AdWords to confirm the latest rumors that said the company is using its ad service to advertise the company. Not only Google confirmed it, but an employee also said that their accounts are made under the same rules and Terms of service as for any advertiser.

So, it's clear that Google advertises the company using Google AdWords. But the accusations are continued by a user that says you have no chance to compete Google in their index, because the company always gets the Top Ad Position. This means that, if you have a similar keyword with a Google product, no matter what amount of money you invest, the company always gets the first position in the index.

Matt Cutts, a Google engineer, reacted to these accusations, offering the perfect example to sustain his statement. If you want to see by yourself if the accusations are true or false, go to the Google Search official website and type desktop. Hit Search and you'll see that Google is placed on the second position with its Google Desktop application.

So, it seems Google is again, right. In fact, Google has all the rights to place the company in the first place because it owns the service. Even if this is not a correct decision, you'll never be able to prove that Google pays itself less than your investments.
