Google is giving everyone a small gift this holiday season by implementing a new “magic” button on the Google Earth site.

The company has also launched a nice new site that lets you choose where you want to go – whether you want to pick the classical Google Earth site or go for Earth Pro, where Google provides plenty of advanced tools, for a price. Well, the site now gets background pictures from around the globe and they change every so often.

Spoiler alert! The Easter egg is hidden straight on the home page and can be found on the right lower corner in the form of a small globe.

Clicking on it, your screen will be covered in images from around the world, while a small blue dot on the right-corner globe lets you know where the pictures come from. The company shows you the world – Niger, the USA, Italy, Indonesia, China and Australia are just some of the places you’ll be able to see there.

The best part, however, is that you can download any of the pictures here. All you have to do is click on the download button on the left upper corner and chose a resolution for your device, whether it’s a tablet, a laptop or a desktop PC.

Alternatively, you can also click on another button in the same area that will transport you to the place where that particular image was taken. The location is marked by a big circle and a part of the wallpaper can be viewed in the window.

From this map view, users can also travel around the world. Clicking on any of the bright blue dots will give you a preview of the image, which you can easily click on to check out the wallpaper offered by Google.
