The beta version for Google Earth 7 has been rolled out by the search giant. It follows in the footsteps of the mobile version, delivering features such as the tour guide or viewing cities in 3D.

The tour guide is exactly what it sounds like, an expert carrying the answers about nearby places, thus helping you learn more about them. You can embark on virtual tours in order to visit historical places or cultural sites. Some of the details are provided from Wikipedia.

3D imagery has also been included in the desktop version for Google Earth. The development team added a new batch of metropolitan areas from France (Avignon) and Germany (Munich and Mannheim) as well as from US (Austin, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona).
