Google rolled out a new update for Google Earth (7.1.1 beta), which includes new features for both the free and the Pro version.

Common to both of them is support for LEAP Motion device, which allows users to control the images displayed on the computer screen through hand movements. Check out the video above for a demonstration of the new capabilities.

Also new is Google Feedback tool integration.

Available only in the Pro version is the ability to create annotated images from print and save them. Furthermore, the print flow has been redesigned and support for Viewshed/Line of Sight analysis tool from a placemark.

Problems addressed in this release include polygons and image overlays that appeared over the international dateline and incorrect "Z-order" in rendering overlapped vector layers.

Improvements touch on performance in Movie Maker and in viewing 3D imagery areas. Check the full log on this page.
