Because Google Earth is a very powerful technology which shows satellite imagery from every corner of the world, most consumers admired the pictures but neglected other valuable functions of the application. For example, Google Earth has an advanced search technology which helps you find a location in a matter of seconds. And what's more impressive is that you can find an address by typing the exact number of the street or even by typing the street's name and an imaginary number. After you press the search button, Google Earth will automatically search its databases and provide you several results matching your query.

"It is important to note that search terms that aren't a recognizable location search are treated as a business listing search over the current view. For example, if you enter the word [Hollywood] in the "Fly To" field, the search engine returns all listings in the current view containing the word Hollywood in the name," Google explains the use of the mapping tool's search functions.

Imagine that this technology can be bundled into almost any type of search and provide better results for almost any query. Let's suppose somebody wants to search for some people's name. All he needs to do is to enter his name/surname in the search box and press the search button, the engine returning only the results matching your query. No spam, no useless results, nothing.

"If you want to find a particular street in a city, you can enter a fictional number for the address of that street, and the search engine will display the best match for that address on the street. For example, if you want to find Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, CA, you can enter the phrase [1 Sunset Blvd Hollywood CA] in the search field and the beginning of Sunset Boulevard will be displayed in the 3D viewer," Google adds.
