Google is getting ready to let go of the old version of Analytics, which it's been making available in parallel with the updated version rolled out about a year ago. Google's been supporting both versions to give users enough time to get accustomed to the new, improved version.
"We’ll be removing the link to the previous version which sits at the bottom of Google Analytics pages and all your analysis will take place in the new version," Google
explained.
The redesigned and rewritten Analytics focuses on real-time analytics and has been adding several new features, like
social analytics. One of the more impressive, but practical, new features is the
flow visualizations option, which should make it easier to track how users navigate through your site.
The new Analytics has plenty of new features, line
'non-interaction' event tracking, but also most of the features from the old version, like
scheduled emails and PDF exports.
