Early yesterday, during Google I/O developer conference, the company’s officials announced that a new Drive service was available for mobile and web users.

For Android users, the changes made to the application are pretty obvious at first glance. According to Google, Drive for Android should now be much faster and easier to navigate. The same improvements seem to have been applied to the iOS version as well.

Due to the faster background syncing, the new version of Drive for Android application makes it easy to find and quickly open files. In addition, lots of new features have been implemented, which will allow users to see who has access to Google Drive, view recent changes, or grab a link to share with more people.

But this is not all, as Google has announced that Drive for Android users will be able to enable offline access or print a file directly from the application.

The company has also confirmed that it has localized Drive in over 70 languages and has added important improvements to keyboard accessibility, support for zooming and high contrast mode.

You can now download Google Drive for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
