14 DAY TRIAL // Google has begun advertising a new Wi-Fi sponsorship campaign promoting their iOS application for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Google Mobile App. Those who own an iDevice are being offered 30 minutes of free WiFi at least in one International airport in exchange for downloading the app on the spot.
Appadvice reports that all owners of an iOS-based device accessing the wireless network of Logan International Airport in Boston are being offered 30 minutes of free wireless Internet the moment they tap to download Google’s universal app when prompted (screenshot above).
The blog points out that the deal is not even strictly enforced, as users can start using the free WiFi time without even completing the download process.
