The Chinese New Year is underway. 2012 is the year of the dragon in the Chinese zodiac so plenty of Asian sites have been using custom logos or graphics to symbolize and mark the new year.

Google, which started the tradition, ran a special doodle to celebrate the occasion, featuring a dragon, what else, and, of course, the Google logo. The doodle was featured on the Google homepage in several Asian countries China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea.

In case you missed it though, you can check it out above in all of its glory and in greater detail than what you'd find over at Google's doodle archive.

Last year was the year of the rabbit, you can also check out Google's less impressive doodle from 2011 here.
