The rumors are almost confirmed: Google has formed a special advisory council to help them with their health plans. Although the Google representatives didn't confirm the speculations, the Mountain View company seems to be really interested in a health system able to conquer the market. And if we look at the chairman of this advisory council (Dean Ornish, M.D., Founder and President, Preventive Medicine Research Institute, Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco), it is even more obvious that Google wants a health system.

Google explains the new group of experts as being the best attempt to stay up-to-date with the latest problems raised by the consumers as well as provide valuable information for certain products powered by the search giant. What would those solutions be? They are not mentioned, but it's probably a sign that Google will implement new search abilities in its famous technology.

"We have formed an advisory council, made up of healthcare experts from provider organizations, consumer and disease-based groups, physician organizations, research institutions, policy foundations, and other fields. The mission of the Google Health Advisory Council is broadly to help us better understand the problems consumers and providers face every day and offer feedback on product ideas and development," Missy Krasner, Product Marketing Manager, said today.

Some time ago, the parent company Google debuted a special health blog to keep the users informed and up-to-date with the latest efforts made by the search giant in this area. At that time, Google also provided some interesting statistics that revealed that a lot of Internet users are searching for health-related matters on the websites, many of them visiting the doctor after they found valuable details in the virtual world. However, there are no confirmed speculations concerning a health system prepared by the search giant so we must wait and see what happens.
