Google Video is surely one of the products designed by the company that is less popular than its rivals also owned by the search giant. Google Video and YouTube are two similar video services that allow users to upload, share and comment movies with other members of the product. YouTube is updated periodically with new features and functions, while its employees are continuously posting new messages on the blog. Meanwhile, Google Video received just a simple update discovered today that concerns the content published on the blogosphere.

Blog Buzz, the new function available on the main page of the service, displays information about the most popular videos included in the blogs, showing you the top ten most used movies. It seems like the function displays videos from both Google Video and YouTube because some of the links redirect you to the recently acquired product.

As you know, Google Video and YouTube provide almost the same features but some time ago, the company's representatives published a statement to inform users about the future of the two products. The official sustained the services will continue to exist but Google Video will be based on the content it provides while YouTube will try to improve the impressive community it owns. If you want to continue the comparison between the two services, you can observe that YouTube was continuously in the spotlights because it caused numerous headaches for the company.

One of the most known problems caused by YouTube was surely the Viacom removal, the owner of MTV and Comedy Central demanding the video service to remove almost 100.000 clips from the page. Although the product lost an important amount of content, YouTube recorded an impressive boost of traffic just after the Viacom removal.
