Google has been chosen as the best place to work in the US, topping every other company in the country in a chart by Fortune. The perks that Google provides its employees were the reason why it was deemed the happiest place to go to work, moving from the fourth spot last year.
"Employees rave about their mission, the culture, and the famous perks of the Plex: bocce courts, a bowling alley, eyebrow shaping (for a fee) in the New York office. Then there's the food: some 25 cafés companywide, all gratis," Fortune
explained its choice.
Google was also deemed the best company to work for in the US in 2007 and 2008.
Google hired more than 6,000 people in the last year alone. The company's perks are legendary, but it's more than just free food or gyms, Googlers get 20 percent of their time to focus on whatever project they want, for example.
