As an integer part of the Mountain Valleys efforts to bridge relationships with webmasters everywhere, Google has introduced a set of new services, an initiative that is spearheaded by Webmaster
Central site. In addition, the search giant announced the launching of a new Webmaster Central blog and the expansion of Webmaster Help Google Group with increase emphasis put on interaction.
"Furthermore, Google Sitemaps has been renamed Google webmaster tools. It's more than a new coat of paint; we've added and improved lots of geeky goodies to help give you more info and control," reads a segment of the blog posted by Vanessa Fox, Product Manager, Webmaster Central, and Adam Lasnik, Search Evangelist.
The blog also informs webmasters that Sitemaps protocol is unaffected by the changes and innovative services introduced by the Mountain View Company and that the submission and reporting mechanism for the webmasters with already established Google Sitemaps are still accessible from the homonym tab.
"Welcome to your one-stop shop for comprehensive info about how Google crawls and indexes websites. You can learn here how to ensure that your site is easily crawled and indexed and access tools that will enable you to diagnose crawling issues, study statistics on how your site is doing in our index, and tell us how you'd like your site to be crawled and indexed," reads a message posted on Google Webmaster Central.
