New feature for the search engine

Google launched an extremely useful function, codenamed Web History, able to allow users to view older search queries and additional information concerning the keywords. The new feature is somehow similar with the Search Function introduced a long time ago that enables users to view the keywords entered on Google Search. The Web History was designed to provide even more information and help users search their information through a simple web interface accessible from the Google account. According to the official page of the function, it requires a Google Toolbar and a PageRank. However, if the user refuses to install the browser add-on, he's still able to use the function but in a limited mode that will redirect him only to the old Search History.

"Today, we're pleased to announce the launch of Web History, a new feature for Google Account users that makes it easy to view and search across the pages you've visited. If you remember seeing something online, you'll be able to find it faster and from any computer with Web History. Web History lets you look back in time, revisit the sites you've browsed, and search over the full text of pages you've seen. It's your slice of the web, at your fingertips," Payam Shodjai, Product Manager for Personalization, sustained on the official blog of the company.

As you can see if you login into your account, the Web History function is accessible with ease but some users might find the feature inappropriate. The function's goal is to save all the Google searches and display them onto a separate page, a purpose that reduces the user's privacy and makes his data available on the Internet. I admit the information is available only with the Google account but in the past it was proved that a single password can't protect our details.
