An updated flavor of the Google Currents application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 2.3.0.

Unfortunately, no changelog was attached to the new application release, and there’s no telling how exactly it was improved.

However, we can assume that the updated app version was pushed out with various small improvements and fixes packed inside. The software will continue to provide users with the possibility to easily stay on top of news at all times.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Google has replaced the application with Google Play Newsstand, and that Currents is available only for those who have already downloaded and installed it.

The updated version of Google Currents can be found in the Google Play store. It is compatible with devices running under Android 2.2 and up.
