Google Currents 2.0 is now available for iOS devices worldwide. The app delivers stunning magazine-like editions to iPhone or iPad for offline reading, and now features an edition sidebar for better navigation through your content.

Currents aggregates content from the likes of Forbes, The Guardian, TechCrunch, PBS, Saveur, and many others who produce hundreds of editions including full length, in-depth articles, videos, photography, and slideshows.

Covering news, business, lifestyle, fashion, sports, science, technology, design, food, etc., all editions are free, as is the app itself.

Version 2.0 is now available with a brand-spanking new Edition Sidebar which offers easy access to your editions within specific categories.

A Fast Scan feature lets you vertical-swipe to scan an edition, while the horizontal swipe advances you to the next one.

Breaking Stories gives you the latest chatter on the web ranked by Google News, complete with links to the full-length articles. You can now “star” a story for future reference.

Google also hopes you’ll enjoy the new catalog design.
