YouTube is probably the most known online video service in the entire world that allows you to upload, share and comment videos with other members of the community. Although Google owns one more video service, Google Video that is very similar with YouTube allowing you to publish and discuss videos, the company decided to acquire YouTube at a price that shocked all the experts: $1.6 Billion. Because the investments were huge, the company tried to improve it periodically to pay off the money and
to attract even more users.
The Google employees recently explained the difference between Video and YouTube, saying that the two solutions will continue to exist but will be based on different matters: Google Video will continue to offer attracting content while YouTube will try to expand its existing community of members that is currently one of the largest in the entire internet world.
Yesterday, I wrote an article regarding a new YouTube program that looked like an invitation to view Super Bowl commercials. The video service published only the logo of the campaign that sustained the program will start on February 4 and will allow you to vote your favorite ad. Today, Rich Godwin, Senior Account Executive, posted a message on the official blog to explain the new function implemented in YouTube and to offer more details.
"We are hosting every single commercial appearing in the Super Bowl on YouTube. You can watch them, share them, and coolest of all, you can rate them. So everyone can help choose the best spots, and they'll be available on YouTube right after the game. We'll be linking to the Super Bowl Wrap Up from the front page of Google. Marketers are going to get a huge audience spending more time with their shiny new creative, and the viewers can watch as often as they'd like. Be sure to check it out. Oh, and the Super Bowl is this coming Sunday. Kickoff is at 6:30 pm EST," the Google employee sustained in the blog post.
