Google has updated its Cloud Print service, which enables users to print documents from any location via the Chrome browser. It is now possible to print anything at one of the 1,800 FedEx Office locations in the US, enabling you to go directly to the store and pick up your documents without any hassle.

"Simply choose 'Print to FedEx Office' in the Cloud Print dialog, and you’ll receive a retrieval code that you can use at any FedEx Office® Print & Go self-service device at more than 1,800 FedEx Office stores across the nation," Google explained.

"So if you're on a business trip to California, you can submit a report for your colleague in New York to print out at the neighborhood FedEx Office," it added.

Most people don't really need to print out anything these days, which is exactly why Cloud Print comes in handy, for the few times that we really need to have something printed. And, more often than not, it's going to be something important.

Cloud Print is great particularly for people without printers, you can use it to print something at a friend or at work. And now, you can print something at a FedEx Office and then go out and grab it, saving you a lot of hassle and the need to buy a printer for the few times in a year when you need it.

But just in case you do need a printer more often than that, you'll be glad to know that Canon now offers models that work with Cloud Print out of the box, along with HP, Epson and Kodak, greatly simplifying the process of printing.

Also, thanks to Chrome for Android, your phone or tablet can now become a "printer" in the sense that you can send a page to be printed to your phone as a PDF which you'll then be able to view on the go.
