If you’re a Chromebook user, then Google wants to take care of you and of your device until it is finally time to send it off to a better place in Chromebook paradise.

The search giant has announced today that its Enterprise and Education customers, are guaranteed to get official support and updates for at least 4 years since the Chromebook launches.

Google has published the official list of Chromebooks and their expiration dates side-by-side. So, for example since the Toshiba Chromebook was one of the last to make an appearance, its end of life is scheduled for February 2018.

The older Acer C700 Chromebook will go into the land of the blessed sooner and its owners can expect support to end around July 2015.

The only detail this story is missing is that Google is leaving the consumer models out of the scheme, but I guess this make sense since Chromebooks are mainly targeted at education and enterprise, for the moment.
