Solves problem with loading locally installed web fonts

After releasing an update for the beta channel on the generally regarded as ominous Friday the 13th, Google rolled out yesterday a new build for the stable version of the web browser. The latest build, however, is not available for all supported platforms, as it is intended only for Mac.

Google Chrome 18.0.1025.163 for Mac deals with only one font-related issue. The problem consisted in the fact that locally installed web fonts would not show up correctly. Instead, the font would be garbled and weird characters would be displayed.

The beta revision for Google Chrome, released on Friday for all supported platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame), solved issues with searching in the cookie list or hiding scanning notification when device with no media is detected.
