With a new stable major version for Google Chrome due next week, the work on the web browser has intensified lately. The latest updates are for the Dev and Beta channels and are available for all supported platforms  (WindowsMacLinux, and Chrome Frame).

The beta version (20.0.1132.41) has not gone through too many changes, as it brings to the table an updated JavaScript engine and a fix for a content alignment issue.

With Dev version (21.0.1180.4), some of the modifications are platform-specific. On Windows, the Metro UI experience has been enhanced and a crash in Pepper object scripting eliminated.

On Mac, one of the most prominent issues was with the “Relaunch” button in Canary, which would not fulfill its functionality.

Update: The beta channel has been updated to build  20.0.1132.42, which contains a fix for GPU out of memory issue.
